Did you like Nasim Khan’s (Riz Ahmed’s) transformation in prison in “The Night Of” or not?

Nasim was very close to becoming in fact what he was thrown in jail for. Murder / assasin. The prison system is quite close to the real system worldwide. First they say they want to help you, when you don’t really need it and afterwards they begin asking. And you sell your soul for giving back. You ain’t the good guy you used to be.

He started taking drugs in jail, he started misleading others, he put the lawyer in very akward situations and so on. He became part of the system without realising.

I’m convinced that if he hadn’t won the trial, we would have seen very soon a murder and some sex scenes with some guys in there

So, he would have got into jail innocent and got out guilty. We have a lot to learn from this movie. The ones that say they are there to help you usually don’t help you.
