- Long history - Currently at its 46th edition (2016), it was set up in 1972. Until 2018 it will be held in Singapore, the 9th city from its inauguration, after Boca Raton, Los Angeles, New York, Oakland, Munich, Madrid, Doha and Istanbul.
- Anticipated - Regarded as the fifth most important tournament of the year after the Grand Slams, due to the big names and important prize money that it attracts.
- Rules: For the singles. there are 2 groups (the White and the Red) each with 4 players. In the first days of the tournament all players in a group play against each other, with the top two advancing to the semifinals. They play in cross, with the first player from a group playing with the second from the other. The winners of the semifinals advance to the championship match.
