Who is Birdman? / Facts
Nickname - Besides "Birdman", his stage name, as his father did not sign the birth certificate, he took initially his mother's surname and, for almost a month after his birth, he was simply referred to as "Baby"; this nick is used to this day.
Legal issues - In their teenage years, Williams and Wise, his step-brother, were arrested for robbery and selling dr*gs.
Record label - In 1992, Bryan and Slim, his older brother, formed their own record label, "Cash Money Records". Kilo G was their first signed artist. DJ Mannie Fresh became their in-house producer. Dwayne Carter, a 12-years-old boy at that time (who later became known as Lil Wayne), was presented to Birdman and was signed as the youngest artist on Cash Money. In 1997, The same year, Baby and Slim recruited Turk and Juvenile, and all of them formed the group the Hot Boys, who signed a $30 million deal with Universal Records in 1998.
Big Tymers - Baby and Mannie Fresh formed their own group, the Big Tymers, their I Got That Work single being certified platinum by the RIAA for selling over 1 million copies in the US.
Going solo - Juvenile and B.G. left Cash Money, and Baby became the new frontman of the record label. He released the album Birdman on November 26, 2002, and by January 15, 2003, it was certified gold by the RIAA, for selling 500,000 copies in the US. As this album was very successful, people started to call him "Birdman", so he changed his stage name accordingly. His second album, Fast Money, was released in 2005 and debuted at number 9 on the Billboard 200.
Collaboration - In 2006, Lil Wayne and Birdman released their first collaborative album, Like Father, Like Son, reaching number 3 on the Billboard 200, and was certified gold. The single "Stuntin' Like My Daddy" peaked at number twenty-one on the Billboard Hot 100 in the United States and won the 2007 BET Viewer's Choice Award.
Family - He has two children, Bryan Jr., born in 1997, and Bria, born in 1998.
In 2020, he became engaged to singer Toni Braxton.
Where the cash comes from - His massive net worth comes not only from the music business but also from other ventures:
the oil and gas exploration company, Bronald Oil and Gas, LLC, a joint venture founded by him with Slim, declaring for Ozone magazine that he was "making very good money off that".
the clothing line "Respek", launched in 2016.
Birdman's assets - He is one of the richest rappers in the world. His fortune includes expensive car collections (Maybach 62 Landaulet, Bugatti Veyron), big mansions, GT Vodka and YMCM clothing line ownership, and more.

- “I was a young-un when I got my first million. Then I realized if I got one, I could get two. If I could get two, I could get ten. If I could get ten, I could get a hundred.” – Birdman
- “I’m a hard worker, and everything with me is, if I work hard, I should get paid for it. Everything with me, I try to symbolize something flashy like jewelry or a car. The rubbing hands is a symbol of hustling, so it goes back to the money.” – Birdman
