- Childhood and early life - Hero has English, Northern Irish, Irish, Scottish, Italian, German, and French ancestry. He was born in London on November 6, 1997 to film directors George Tiffin and Martha Fiennes and educated at Emanuel School in Battersea. He has an older brother named Titan Nathaniel and a younger sister named Mercy Jini Willow. Hero is a member of the Twisleton-Wykeham-Fiennes family and is the great-grandson of Sir Maurice Fiennes. He lives in South London with his mother and siblings. His uncles are actors Ralph Fiennes and Joseph Fiennes.

Feature films - Hero made his theatrical film debut in the 2008 drama film Bigga Than Ben as Spartak.
He earned the part of young Voldemort even though thousands of young actors auditioned for the role. At least one publication, however, has alleged his family relation alone landed him the part. David Yates, director of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, said Hero was cast as Tom Riddle due to his ability to find "the darker space" in his line readings.
Yates said he did not get the role due to his relation to Ralph Fiennes, who is his maternal uncle, but admitted the family resemblance was "a clincher". Yates described the actor as "very focused and disciplined" and said he "got the corners and dark moods and odd spirit of the character", and had a "wonderful haunted quality that seemed to bring Tom Riddle alive on-screen for us."
Tom Riddle is of course Voldemort. Hero played 11-year-old Tom in a scene in which he met Albus Dumbledore for the first time.
Hero’s maternal uncle Ralph Fiennes played older Tom Riddle in the Harry Potter series.
He auditioned for the feature films The Hate U Give (2018) and Dunkirk (2017), but didn’t get a part.
In 2018, Hero had landed his first lead male role, Hardin Scott, in the film After, based on the New York Times best-selling book After, written by Anna Todd. A sequel, After We Collided, was announced in 2019 with Hero and co-star Josephine Langford set to reprise their roles as Hardin and Tessa.
In April 2019, it was announced that Hero had been cast as Brooks in the film The Silencing.
- Television - Hero made his first TV show appearance on The Tunnel in 2018 as Leo. He gave auditions for roles in the TV series Stranger Things, but didn’t get a part. The next TV shows he appeared in were Safe (2018) on Netflix, as Ioan Fuller, and Cleaning Up (2019) on ITV, as Jake.

I've always wanted to demonstrate a variety of different roles when I act and do different projects and not ever do one of the same.

In the small amount of modeling work I've done, I'm always told that I never smile.
My uncles are always busy away acting, so I barely even see them much at all, but I always know that they are so supportive. Anytime I do see them, they always check up on it and make sure everything's okay and let me know that they're there for me.
